Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. seeks a Consulting Utility Forester to work outdoors with utility clients, property owners, and contractors, guiding vegetation management to ensure safety and reliability.

In this role you will collect field data, conduct inventories, and plan contractor work while adhering to safety standards. The company offers ESOP ownership, strong PTO, and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field and/or experience in utility line clearance.
• ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months of offer.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners & public agencies regarding pruning and/or removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations.
• Plan work for tree contractors.
• Gather and manage field data including tree species, size, and distance from conductors.
• Validate data across databases to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Verify summaries reflect underlying datasets.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in the work area.
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices.
• Carry and utilize materials, tools, and equipment at the work site.
• Service trucks and equipment, keeping them neat and orderly.
