We trim, top, and reshape trees to provide clearance for utility powerlines, working in all weather conditions. This nationwide full-service contractor offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while handling equipment.
• Ability to obtain the knowledge to identify tree and shrub species.
• No fear of heights.
• Must have good hand-to-eye coordination.
• Willing and able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies, including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees by climbing with a ladder, safety belt, climbing line, powered trimmer lift truck, or works from the ground using saws and pruners.
• Operates wedges, sledges, and chain saws in felling trees or trimmed trunks.
• Plan, assign, direct, check, and coordinate work.
• Obtain access permissions from property owners before work.
• Maintain good customer and public relations.
• Loads/unloads trucks; feeds debris into a woodchipper.
• Use hand tools and equipment and perform basic repairs as needed.
