Job summary

Lewis Services is hiring a Groundperson to support vegetation management for utility partners. You will clear vegetation around power lines and operate tools such as chainsaws and sprayers. Frequent travel to job sites and strict safety adherence are required.

Qualifications

• Groundperson certification or ability to complete it.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and physically capable of hiking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling tools.
• CPR/First Aid certification provided by Lewis.
• Herbicide applicator certification (or ability to obtain/maintain).
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
• Team player attitude, adaptability and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Clear vegetation and debris from work sites around power lines.
• Operate and maintain tools like chainsaws, chippers, blowers, and sprayers.
• Assist climbers by spotting from the ground and handing up tools.
• Assist with rigging and felling of trees.
• Maintain safety for colleagues and the public.
