Job summary

Lewis Tree Service is hiring a Groundperson to support vegetation management for utility partners and other customers. You’ll clear vegetation around power lines, operate tools such as chainsaws and sprayers, and assist climbers from the ground while maintaining safety standards.

You’ll frequently travel to different job sites and participate in safety briefings. Certifications like CPR/First Aid and herbicide applicator are provided or required, with CDL preferred for some roles.

Qualifications

• Groundperson certification (or ability to complete).
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions and terrains.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred for certain sites.
• CPR/First Aid and herbicide applicator certifications are provided or achievable.

Responsibilities

• Support vegetation management for utility partners and other customers.
• Clear vegetation and debris from work sites around power lines (tree pruning, vegetation removal).
• Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, blowers, and sprayers.
• Assist climbers by spotting from the ground and handing up tools.
• Assist with rigging and felling of trees and set up traffic control zones.
• Travel to different job sites as needed and follow safety protocols.
