Job summary

Stratton Mountain Resort is seeking an Outdoor Technician to keep exterior resort areas safe, clean, and well-maintained. This full-time role offers seasonal and year-round opportunities with pay between $20.00-$22.00/hr based on experience.

Responsibilities include snow removal, landscaping, event setup/ teardown, and coordinating tasks with supervisors. The position requires outdoor work in all weather and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with snow removal and/or landscaping is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Reliable attendance and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with snow removal around the resort (shoveling, plowing, ice chipping, salting, sanding).
• Landscaping duties such as mowing lawns, tree trimming, mulching, weed eating, and bed care.
• Help with setup, maintenance and breakdown of events.
• Coordinate daily and weekly tasks with supervisors and shift leads.
• Manage daily setup/breakdown of lodge areas.
• Empty trash, recycling, compost; pick up ground litter around the resort.
• Prepare daily logs and incident reports.
• Attend department safety meetings.
• Maintain vehicles, tools, and inventory of supplies.
• Assist indoor custodial teams when volume requires.
• Additional duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Outdoor Technician will be responsible for upkeep of exterior resort areas. The Outdoor Technician will work closely with the Resort Appearance Manager, department supervisors, and janitorial team. The primary goal of the position is to ensure the resort remains safe, clean, and maintained for all resort guests and employees. This is a full-time position with seasonal and year-round opportunities, compensated between $20.00-$22.00/hr, based on experience.

Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Assist with snow removal around the resort: shoveling, plowing, ice chipping, salting, and sanding
• Landscaping duties such as: mowing lawns, tree trimming, mulching, weed eating, weeding beds, shoveling, etc.
• Helping with the setup, maintenance and break down of events
• Coordinating daily and weekly tasks with supervisors and shift leads
• Help with daily setup and breakdown of all lodge area’s
• Empty trash bins, recycling bins, compost bins and pick up ground litter around the resort
• Prepare reports of daily logs and incidents
• Attend department safety meetings
• Manage and maintain vehicles, tools, and keep inventory of supplies
• Assist indoor custodial teams when business volumes require: cleaning windows, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash bins, painting, etc.
• Additional duties as assigned
