Job summary

The City of Longview is seeking a motivated individual to perform manual labor and unskilled equipment operation across city departments, following all safety regulations.

You will learn to maintain streets, water and sewer systems, parks, and infrastructure, operate specialized vehicles and tools, and complete daily logs and safety reports while adhering to site-specific guidelines.

Occasional emergencies may require response and teamwork in outdoor conditions year-round.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Requires valid Texas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual labor and unskilled equipment operation across City departments.
• Maintains streets, roadway, water and sewer systems, parks, and facilities as assigned.
• Learns to repair and maintain infrastructure; cleans and maintains parks and facilities.
• Delivers recycling/trash containers to residents.
• Completes required daily logs and reports.
• Responds to emergencies as directed.
