Job summary

The City of Grants is seeking a Street Technician to maintain and improve streets, alleys, drainage systems, rights-of-way, and related infrastructure. The role involves pothole repairs, street maintenance, drainage cleaning, vegetation control, sign installation, snow removal, and debris cleanup while operating vehicles and equipment.

Applicants must be able to work outdoors in varying weather, hold a valid driver's license, and pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience in street maintenance or related field preferred.
• Ability to operate vehicles and hand/power tools.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Must be available for emergency response, snow/ice removal, and other needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform pothole and minor roadway repairs.
• Maintain streets, alleys, drainage, and rights-of-way.
• Operate vehicles, hand and power tools, and equipment.
• Assist with emergency response, special events, and projects.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Thursday.
