Job summary

Independence TX LLC in Strasburg, OH is hiring experienced, safety-minded laborers and operators to support daily production at our sand processing plant. This is hands-on outdoor industrial work in an active plant environment.

We seek people who have already worked outdoors around heavy equipment and understand what a full shift on an industrial site takes. The role offers 12-hour shifts, 4 days on/4 days off, weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Support routine upkeep and preventive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
• Assist operators, tradespeople, and maintenance personnel with assigned tasks.
• Follow all safety policies, wear PPE, and report hazards promptly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load, unload, dig, lift, and move material throughout the plant and yard.
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Operate skid steers, manlifts, telehandlers, and track hoes once trained and authorized.
• Support routine upkeep and preventive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
• Assist operators, tradespeople, and maintenance personnel with assigned tasks.
• Follow all safety policies, wear required PPE, and report hazards promptly.

SCHEDULE

• 4 days on, 4 days off
• 12-hour shifts, days or nights

PAY & BENEFITS

• $19 - $25 per hour, based on experience

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dust.
• Availability for 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy tools, materials, and equipment, and to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
• Dependability, punctuality, and a consistent commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew.
• Previous experience in an outdoor or labor-intensive role, such as construction, landscaping, agriculture, road work, warehouse, or mining.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a sand, aggregate, mining, or other heavy industrial plant.
• Experience operating a skid steer, manlift, telehandler, or track hoe.
• Basic knowledge of occupational safety practices.

• Exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold, and moving heavy equipment.
