Job summary

Pacific Air Forces in Alaska seeks a program manager to plan and administer quality leisure recreation programs serving active duty, retirees, dependents, and civilian personnel.

The position requires meeting specialized experience described by OPM for GS-0188 series, with options for education or combination. Candidates must meet TIG and KSAs and have knowledge of recreation program operations, resources, and volunteer management.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of morale, welfare, and recreation concepts.
• Knowledge of community recreation administration, planning and implementation techniques to develop and implement a variety of recreational programs, services, and community activities.
• Knowledge of resources for recreational/entertainment agents/vendors, equipment, games, supplies and related material.
• Skill and ability to organize and administer a variable volunteer and paid workforce.
• Basic ability and skill to operate office automation equipment; a qualified typist is not required.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
