Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks an Outdoor Recreation and Interpretation Program Coordinator within the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to guide statewide outdoor recreation and environmental education programs. You will lead coordination, develop training, and build partnerships that expand learning opportunities for the public across Pennsylvania.

You will create learning materials and virtual programs, evaluate impact, and provide technical guidance to field staff.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Natural Resource Program Specialist 1 or three years of professional experience in natural resource management or natural resource education with a related bachelor’s degree.
• Equivalency of experience and training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead statewide coordination, development, and evaluation of outdoor recreation programs.
• Develop and deliver training sessions and lesson plans for field personnel and educators.
• Coordinate with agencies, schools, and organizations to advance recreation initiatives.
• Create educational materials and virtual programs for public use.
• Assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements to statewide initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and interpret policies to support field staff.
