Job summary

The Fort Riley Outdoor Recreation program is seeking a Developmental Recreation Aid (NF-01) to assist at a multi-use facility. Responsibilities include helping patrons, checking out equipment, teaching safety, and providing facility guidance. After one year, potential for non-competitive promotion to NF-02 based on performance and management's needs.

Open to U.S. Citizens and eligible non-citizens; duties require work on days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

Responsibilities

  • Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory.
  • Receives and resolves customer complaints.
  • Provides information and general instructions on equipment, facilities and machinery.
  • Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc.
  • Assists in planning, conducting, and arranging support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
