Job summary

Black Diamond Equipment is seeking a Product Manager to own the product categories within the unit, guiding projects from concept to commercialization and partnering with design teams. You will research industry trends, develop line strategies, create briefs for marketing and packaging, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure launches meet financial targets and marketing goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing/Sales, Engineering or related field is required.
Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred for advanced product leadership.
2+ years post graduate experience in product line management in consumer goods.
3+ years outdoor recreational product line management or buyer/merchandiser experience preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across design, sales, marketing and supply chain.

Responsibilities

Support VP of Equipment in product line management for new and in-line products.
Research and manage seasonal product line planning to meet financial targets.
Develop product briefs and communicate objectives to design, development, sales and marketing teams.
Review costing/margin/retail objectives to align with financial targets.
Communicate product strategy to Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Design and Development; present to customers.
Coordinate forecasts, spare parts lists, and life-cycle planning with cross-functional teams.
