Job summary

Essel seeks a Cable Technician (Bulk) to join our field service team. You will install, maintain and repair high‑voltage and low‑voltage electrical systems on energy and utility infrastructure outdoors on power line projects.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, performing diagnostics with voltmeters and ohmmeters, and rigorously following NEC standards and safety procedures. You will need climbing, bucket operation, and rigging skills on site.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and maintaining utility electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of rigging, climbing, and bucket operation for field work.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair high-voltage wiring and utility systems per NEC safety standards.
• Conduct diagnostics using voltmeters and ohmmeters to identify faults.
• Perform underground and overhead cabling with proper rigging.
