Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing small engines and outdoor power equipment (OPE).
• Strong knowledge of carburetors, ignition, hydraulics, fuel injection, and clutches.
• Ability to read schematics, parts diagrams, and service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and fuel system faults in small engines.
• Maintenance & Overhauls: Perform tune-ups, blade sharpening, oil changes, and major rebuilds.
• Chainsaw specialty work: Rebuild ends, tune carbs, service bar/chain, test safety brakes.
• Customer & parts coordination: Document work orders, estimate costs/labor, communicate parts needs.
• Shop safety & organization: Maintain a clean, safe work area and dispose fluids properly.
