Job summary

Runnings is seeking a Department Manager for the Outdoor Power department in the United States. The role focuses on merchandising and sales within the department, delivering the highest level of customer service and reporting to the Store Manager.

Availability to work days, nights and every other weekend is required. The position involves coordinating with buyers, managing inventory, and training new staff to ensure safety and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years retail experience required.
• 2 years management experience preferred.
• Customer Service training preferred.
• College Degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of assigned department.
• Assist customers with purchases.
• Work closely with Retail Buyer(s) to ensure awareness of assigned department product needs and other product information.
• Assist with the training and direction provided to new department team members.
• Ensure that safety is practiced when handling merchandise by employees and customers.
