Job summary

Runnings in Morris, IL is seeking a Department Manager for Tools and Outdoor Power to drive merchandising and sales in the assigned department. You will deliver excellent customer service and report to the Store Manager. This role requires flexibility to work days, nights, and alternating weekends.

Retail experience in tools and outdoor power is preferred. You will collaborate with Retail Buyers, manage inventory, train new team members, and ensure safety in handling products.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of assigned department.
• Assist customers with purchases.
• Work closely with Retail Buyer(s) to ensure awareness of product needs.
• Assist with training and direction provided to new department team members.
• Ensure safety is practiced when handling merchandise by employees and customers.
