Job summary

The State of Colorado, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, offers a 9-month internship across multiple park sections including Maintenance, Ranger, Visitor Services, and Interpretive Programs. You will assist in revenue collection, deposits, and daily park operations while delivering quality customer service.

Responsibilities include facility maintenance, trails work, and supporting education programs; uniforms are partly provided, and some items may be purchased.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Background check required and successful completion.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; outdoors in various weather.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Must complete required CPW training; may include OC spray exposure.
• First Aid and CPR certifications required or obtainable.
• Good customer service and strong interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in revenue collection, verification, accounting and deposits.
• Support visitor services operations and educational programs.
• Contribute to park maintenance, facilities cleaning and repair.
• Assist with habitat/trails projects and Aquatic Nuisance Species work.
• Operate/state equipment; help with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical tasks as needed.
• Provide information and help to visitors; work with limited supervision.
