Job summary

Garmin Ltd. in the United States is seeking a full-time Electrical/Design Engineer - Outdoor Optics at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. The role provides technical leadership and project planning for complex analog, digital, and RF designs for Garmin’s outdoor optics products.

You will design test boards, source components, and collaborate with factory teams to ensure manufacturability while guiding projects to successful completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering with 1 year relevant experience OR equivalent
• GPA ≥ 3.0 generally
• Experience with analog/digital/RF designs incl. simulations, schematics, PCB layouts
• Experience with electrical engineering tools
• Awareness of manufacturability impacts

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate as Project Engineer for small projects as part of a greater project
• Design test boards and circuit modifications to test design improvements
• Source and analyze components to meet electrical design needs
• Test circuits and document results
• Find root causes and propose corrective actions
• Work with factory to understand manufacturability impacts
• Estimate effort and evaluate design options in design reviews
