Job summary

Lewis Services in Florida is seeking a Supervisor I to lead General Foremen and crews in a field operations role. You will drive safety, quality arboreal work, and customer satisfaction while managing budgets and schedules. This is a hands-on leadership position within a growing, ESOP-backed company.

Experience in utility vegetation management and strong communication are essential. Expect travel as needed and ongoing safety training opportunities as part of our leadership culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as General Foreman.
• 5 years utility vegetation management experience.
• Safety champion attitude.
• Valid drivers license.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Able to review and prepare estimates for fixed price bids.
• Basic tech knowledge incl email, Microsoft Office, smartphones.
• Willing to travel by ground or air; extended out-of-town stays possible.
• ISA Certified Arborist or ISA Utility Specialist certification if required by territory after one year.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for operational results of General Foremen and crews.
• Schedule weekly crew visits with General Foreman; develop them in project management and safety leadership.
• Implement Corporate Safety Program within GF groups; ensure success.
• Investigate and settle accident claims with General Foremen and safety.
• Ensure high quality arboricultural work via QA/QC process.
• Oversee equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and purchasing procedures.
• Create communication cadence with customers focused on satisfaction and retention.
• Ensure compliance with all contract specifications and requirements.
• Maintain open communication with Division Manager on operations.
• Foster relationships with potential customers as assigned by leadership.
• Understand and administer company policies and procedures.
• Attend internal and external training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
• Model Leadership in Action principles and develop GFs.
