Chewonki Foundation in Wiscasset, Maine, seeks a part-time Interim Mental Health Coordinator to provide mental health support, consultation, and training across year-round programs. The role involves collaboration with staff, families, and external providers to support well-being and successful participation in Chewonki programs.

Responsibilities include policy development, risk management, and coordination of Circle of Care meetings, with telehealth and on-campus support as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Experience working in an outdoor educational setting or equivalent.
• Commitment to equity and inclusion in a youth-focused environment.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and external providers.

Aufgaben

• Develop consistent mental health policies and procedures for all programs in collaboration with the Health and Wellness Center team and other program directors.
• Prepare and share Participant Support Plans for pre-existing or arising mental health concerns.
• Provide consultation to program leaders on mental health concerns and direct therapeutic support when needed.
• Coordinate telehealth services with outside clinical providers as required.
• Train staff on the Chewonki Student Assistance Program and coordinate referrals for crisis or safety assessments.
• Maintain electronic record keeping of all care and communications.
• Engage in incident management and risk assessment discussions for critical incidents.
