Chewonki Foundation in Wiscasset, ME invites applications for an Interim Mental Health Coordinator. This part-time role provides mental health support, consultation, training, and coordination across Chewonki programs year-round, working closely with participants, families, program leaders and Health & Wellness staff.

Qualified candidates hold Maine licenses such as LCSW or School Psychologist (PhD) or LCPC; internship opportunities may be available.

Chewonki Foundation is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive Mental Health Coordinator to provide support, guidance, and training across our year-round programs. If you’re passionate about youth mental health and excited by the opportunity to make a difference in a vibrant outdoor community, we’d love to have you join us.

The Interim Mental Health Coordinator is a part-time position providing mental health support, consultation, training, and coordination across Chewonki programs throughout the year. The IMHC works closely with participants, families, program leaders, Health & Wellness staff, educators, and external mental health providers to support emotional well-being and help participants successfully navigate their Chewonki experience.

Qualifications

• Required to hold one of the following State of Maine licenses:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or School Psychologist (PhD)
  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
  • Potential internship opportunity!
• Experience working in an outdoor educational setting or demonstrated equivalent experience working with children, adolescents, and families.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Must be able to work in an active, outdoor environment in all weather conditions.
