Job summary

Chewonki Foundation is seeking a compassionate, collaborative Mental Health Coordinator to provide support, guidance, and training across our year-round programs in Maine. The Interim Mental Health Coordinator will work with participants, families, program leaders, and staff to support emotional well-being and help participants navigate the Chewonki experience.

Applicants must hold one of the Maine licenses (LCSW, School Psychologist PhD, LCPC) or be eligible for internship, and must pass

Qualifications

• Licenses required by Maine or eligible for internship.
• Experience with children, adolescents, and families in outdoor/educational settings.
• Commitment to equity and inclusivity and teamwork.
• Background check and fingerprinting as required by Maine DOE.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health support, consultation, training, and coordination across Chewonki programs.
• Collaborate with participants, families, program leaders, Health & Wellness staff, educators, and external providers to support emotional well-being.
