Job summary

City of Longview is seeking workers for manual labor and unskilled equipment operation across City departments. You will learn to maintain streets, roadways, water and sewer systems, parks, and facilities while following safety regulations.

Duties include warehouse tasks, daily logs, and responding to emergencies as directed. Work is outdoors in all weather, with a valid Texas driver's license preferred; high school diploma or GED or equivalent required, and at least one year of work experience

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent
• One year of work experience or equivalent education
• Valid Texas Driver's License or ability to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks and equipment across City departments
• Perform maintenance tasks on streets, roadways, water and sewer systems, parks and facilities
• Assist in repairs and routine maintenance of infrastructure
• Complete daily logs and reports
• Learn and follow safety regulations and report hazards or injuries
• Respond to emergencies as directed
