Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a team-oriented Yard Associate to assist contractors and DIY customers with selecting and loading orders. You will pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery and help maintain yard inventory while keeping the area organized and clean.

Training is available for forklift operation and certification. Ideal candidates are comfortable working outdoors in all weather and able to work as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Friendly personality and good people skills are essential.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Forklift operation is a bonus; training and certification available.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIYers with selection and loading of their order.
• Pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered.
• Help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts.
• Keep the Yard organized and clean.
