Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking individuals to join its yard team in a role that supports contractors and do-it-yourselfers. You will assist with selecting and loading orders, pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, and help maintain inventory in the yard with forklift operations.

This is a full-time opportunity offering training and growth in a hands-on environment. Ideal candidates have customer service experience, a friendly personality, and the ability to work outdoors in all conditions.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Friendly, team-oriented personality.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIYers with selection and loading of their order.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup and/or delivery.
• Maintain yard inventory with cycle counts.
• Keep the yard organized and clean.
