Carter Lumber Company is hiring for a full-time Yard Associate to assist contractors and DIYers with selection and loading of orders, pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, and keep the yard organized and safe. You will help maintain inventory, and forklift operation will be trained if you have not operated one before.

The role requires a friendly, customer-focused attitude, strong teamwork, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Friendly personality and a team player.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work outdoors in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with selection and loading of their order.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Help maintain yard inventory by conducting cycle counts.
• Keep the yard organized and clean.
• Operate forklift or receive training to attain certification.
