Job summary

Stake Center Locating, Inc. is hiring entry-level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We provide 100% paid on-the-job training and welcome candidates who enjoy outdoor work and problem-solving.

You will use maps and blueprints, operate locating equipment, and coordinate with teammates and homeowners to ensure safety and efficiency on assigned projects. Training emphasizes safety and accuracy in a dynamic field.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ and eligible to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day 2-3 times per week.
• Lift up to 25–75 lbs with/without aids and carry equipment as needed.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine locating method and sequence.
• Use locating equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.

Skills

Eighteen years of age or older

Valid driver license with acceptable/|

Ability to walk 5 miles daily

Ability to lift 25–75 lbs

Background and drug screening

Education
