Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground with paint and flags. We will train you on the job and provide 100% paid training.

You should enjoy outdoor work in all weather, work independently and solve problems quickly and accurately. We offer a clear path to growth, and a safety-first culture, with training on the latest locating equipment and software.

Qualifications

• Ages 18+ or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs with equipment; occasional 75+ lbs with aids.
• Pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Train entry level Locating Technicians to ensure safety first.
• Document and process tickets and emails.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine locating sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
