Job summary

City of Toledo is hiring for a Leaf Pick-Up Laborer to support fall clean-up efforts. You will rake and shovel leaves and debris into trucks, working with city crews to keep our streets clean and safe during the fall season.

This is a physically active, hands-on role with 10-hour days, six to seven days per week, in varying weather. You must wear PPE, clock in with the biometric system, and report to the Central Avenue base after orientation.

Qualifications

• Must provide and wear steel-toe safety shoes.
• Must be able to work 10-hour days, 6-7 days per week.
• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Must use biometric fingerprint clock-in/out system.
• Must dress appropriately for outdoor work (no sweatpants, yoga pants, or jeans with holes).

Responsibilities

• Rake and shovel leaves and fall debris into trucks and equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
• Report to the Central Avenue base daily and be ready to work after orientation.
