Job summary

Florida State Fair Authority is seeking a Landscape Technician to maintain the grounds of the Fairgrounds. You will care for lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds, and operate landscaping equipment as part of a team committed to a clean, welcoming environment.

This full-time position emphasizes outdoor work, safety, and reliable operation of machinery. The role may involve assisting with special projects and occasional custodial tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; valid driver's license needed.
• Experience in lawn maintenance preferred; ability to operate basic grounds equipment.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds to keep grounds attractive.
• Operate landscaping equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Assist with planting, trimming, fertilizing, and weed control.
• Handle trash collection and basic custodial duties when needed.
• Support special landscaping projects and team goals.
