The Landscape Technician is responsible for maintaining the Florida State Fairgrounds’ landscape and grounds to ensure a clean, attractive, and well-maintained environment. This position performs a variety of landscaping duties, including planting, tree trimming, fertilizing, weed and insect control, and the safe operation of grounds maintenance equipment.

High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of six months experience in lawn maintenance required. Two or more years of experience highly preferred. Valid Driver’s License required.
Duties are performed primarily in an outside setting. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and lift or move 50+ pounds. Environmental demands include wet/humidity, work near mechanical parts, work near high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.
