Interstate Waste Services is hiring a Laborer at the Amsterdam Transfer Station in Ohio. The role involves outdoor general labor, directing trucks, and setting up traffic control, with a stable, full-time schedule and safety-focused environment.

Ideal candidates are 18+, able to lift 50+ pounds, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather. Prior general labor or outdoor work is preferred; driver’s license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• General labor, construction, landscaping, or outdoor work experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Equipment operation experience is a plus.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties including shoveling, lifting, pulling, and site cleanup.
• Direct trucks and equipment safely throughout the facility.
• Set up traffic control signs, cones, and barriers.
• Communicate with drivers and team members using radios.
• Fuel and clean vehicles and equipment.
• Assist with securing landfill coverings and wind fencing.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
