Job summary

Interstate Waste Services (IWS) is hiring a Laborer for the Amsterdam Transfer Station in Ohio. The role offers a stable, full-time schedule with a competitive hourly wage of $20.33 and opportunities for growth.

You will work outdoors, assist with site tasks, and coordinate with drivers and team members to keep the facility running smoothly. Ideal candidates are at least 18, able to lift 50+ pounds, and able to work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• General labor, construction, landscaping, or outdoor work experience preferred
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Equipment operation experience is a plus
• Ability to communicate in English

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties including shoveling, lifting, pulling, and site cleanup
• Direct trucks and equipment safely throughout the facility
• Set up traffic control signs, cones, and barriers
• Communicate with drivers and team members using radios
• Fuel and clean vehicles and equipment
• Assist with securing landfill coverings and wind fencing
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
