Job summary

A-Line EDS in Waterloo, IA is seeking a team member to dismantle and recycle electrical equipment indoors and outdoors, using oxy-fuel torches and heavy tools. The role carries a starting wage of $23.00–$25.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule, overtime, and Saturdays as needed. Hours are 6:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.

You will sort metals, operate forklifts and telehandlers, and move heavy materials while following safety procedures in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in outdoor construction or similar physically demanding work.
• 1+ year of oxy-fuel torch cutting experience.
• 2+ years operating heavy equipment such as telehandlers, cranes, or excavators.
• 5+ years of forklift operating experience.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and recycle electrical equipment indoors and outdoors.
• Use oxy-fuel torches and industrial tools to dismantle transformers.
• Sort ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Operate forklifts, telehandlers, and other material-handling equipment.
• Move heavy materials safely throughout the facility.
• Follow all safety procedures in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Pay & Benefits

What You'll Do

• Sort and separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals
• Operate forklifts, telehandlers, and other material-handling equipment
• Safely move heavy materials throughout the facility
• Follow all safety procedures in a fast-paced industrial environment

Required Experience

• 2+ years of outdoor construction, demolition, or similar physically demanding work
• 1+ year of oxy-fuel torch cutting experience
• 2+ years operating heavy equipment such as telehandlers, cranes, or excavators
• 5+ years of forklift operating experience

Preferred Experience

• Scrap yard or metal recycling experience
• Experience identifying and sorting ferrous and non-ferrous metals

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to safely lift, carry, and handle heavy materials throughout the shift
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
