Job summary

Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is seeking maintenance workers to keep Colorado roadways open and safe. You will operate heavy equipment, perform road maintenance, and respond to weather emergencies in a team setting with leads and colleagues.

The role includes on-call duties, weekends and holidays, and a 4-day summer schedule with 10-hour days. You must have at least two years of physical labor or heavy equipment experience, possess a valid CDL, and be willing to work outdoors in

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience.
• Able to meet CDL requirements and pass pre-employment screenings.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Plowing snow and maintaining roadways.
• Operating heavy equipment and performing basic repairs on equipment.
• Installing and repairing guardrails, signs, and pavement markings.
• Setting out traffic control measures and responding to emergencies.
• Maintaining safety protocols and using PPE.
