Job summary

St. Monica’s Recreation Center in Cincinnati is seeking a Groundskeeper/Landscaper to maintain a safe, functional, and attractive outdoor environment.

The role requires operating a range of groundskeeping equipment and adapting to seasonal demands, including snow removal, mowing, edging, mulching, planting, pruning, and general cleanup. You will work with the Grounds and Maintenance team and may back up indoor custodial projects, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and durable outdoor

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years of outdoor groundskeeping/landscaping experience.
• Ability to safely operate groundskeeping tools and equipment.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily property inspections and remove trash to maintain curb appeal.
• Perform mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating lawns, snow/ice removal, and general outdoor upkeep.
• Plant, water, prune, weed, and mulch flowers, shrubs, and trees; apply fertilizers and pesticides.
• Assist with landscape installation and monitor irrigation systems for proper watering.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment; perform safety checks and minor repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and store chemicals properly; assist with indoor custodial/back-up tasks as needed.
