Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.

• Knowledge of plant care, pest management, and landscaping techniques.
• Experience operating landscaping equipment (mowers, edgers, blowers, irrigation systems, tractors, utility vehicles).
• Understanding of fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals, with a safety-conscious approach to handling.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders up to 10 feet.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily property inspections and cleans sidewalks, parking lots, and roadways to maintain curb appeal.
• Performs routine grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating lawns, snow and ice removal, and general outdoor upkeep.
• Plants, waters, prunes, weeds, and mulches flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation; apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed.
• Assists with landscape feature installation such as flower beds, walkways, and outdoor structures while maintaining design integrity.
• Monitors, maintains, and repairs irrigation systems for efficient watering.
• Operates equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, heavy machinery); conducts safety checks and minor repairs.
• Follows OSHA safety standards and safely handles chemicals; ensures outdoor areas are safe for use.
• Performs basic groundskeeping and facility repairs, including painting and minor irrigation plumbing.
• Collaborates with the team to prioritize tasks and maintains maintenance records.
• Acts as backup for indoor custodial/groundskeeper duties and assists with event setups.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
