Job summary

BrightView Landscapes in San Diego is seeking a Groundperson to join our outdoor crew. You’ll spend your day tending lawns, trees, and beds, using mowers, blowers, and clippers to keep landscapes thriving and clients satisfied.

This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and physical effort; lifting up to 80 pounds, working in all weather, and helping with truck and equipment upkeep. Bilingual Spanish a plus; CDL a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and dependable.
• Able to safely operate equipment like power saws and cutters.
• Understanding of landscape basics is helpful.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of landscaping equipment to prepare soil and plant placement.
• Set up and clean up; care for trucks and machinery.
• Work as part of a team.
• Set up safety items such as cones, signs, and roping off work areas.
• Hand tools to the climber and receive tools using a rope to hoist them up into the tree.
• Gather branches, transport to the chipper, and unload trunk and chips at the facility.
• Ensure safety of operations, sites, employees, and the public.
• Communicate effectively with crew members and the public.
