Job summary

BrightView Landscapes in Vista, CA is seeking a Groundperson to join our outdoor teams. You’ll spend your day outdoors cultivating landscapes, using mowers, blowers, clippers, and edgers to prep soil and plant placement.

We value reliability, the ability to work in all weather, and safety. CDL or Spanish bilingual is a plus; prior landscape experience is helpful. BrightView offers strong benefits and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and dependable.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and perform very physical work, lifting 35-80 pounds.
• Previous landscape knowledge helpful; CDL license a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of landscaping equipment to cultivate landscapes.
• Set up and clean up, and care for trucks and machinery.
• Work as part of a team and communicate with crew and public.
• Set up safety items and roping/taping off work areas.
• Assist climber with rope-based tool handling and safe teamwork.
• Move branches to chipper, load/unload materials, and keep sites clean.
• Ensure safety of operations, sites, employees, and the public.
