Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking an entry-level Grounds Person Tree Care I to support pruning, removal, and maintenance tasks on the grounds. The role emphasizes safe operation of basic equipment and proper PPE usage in a team setting.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, work outdoors in various weather, and drive BrightView fleet vehicles if assigned. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow within the grounds team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform basic ground-level tree care tasks.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic ground-level tree care operations in support of pruning, removal, and maintenance activities
• Demonstrate introductory level proficiency in the safe operation of powered equipment, including woodchippers, trucks, and blowers
• Use hand tools such as hand saws, pole pruners, rakes, and shovels effectively and safely to complete assigned tree care tasks
• Select and use appropriate task-specific PPE in accordance with industry safety standards and company protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure job site. Implements traffic and pedestrian control measures and ensure the protection of the work zone at all times
