Job summary

52TEN is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician for our Bryan, TX communities, working on-site to keep grounds, buildings, and common areas clean, attractive, and safe. You will handle hands-on maintenance and respond to resident requests with a focus on quality.

The role emphasizes groundskeeping, preventative upkeep, and basic repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and landscape tasks. Independence, reliability, and clear communication with the Community Manager are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, landscaping, or property maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate tools and maintenance equipment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Comfortable working independently and following instructions.
• Good communication and service-oriented approach.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community grounds and common areas so property is clean and safe.
• Perform regular groundskeeping: mowing, trimming, edging, weed control, and landscape maintenance.
• Pick up trash and debris and maintain streets, sidewalks, and common areas.
• Trim bushes and trees; assist with planting and irrigation.
• Prepare vacant homes and sites for move-ins.
• Complete routine maintenance and resident repair requests.
• Assist with utility connections and site preparation for move-ins.
• Perform general repairs: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and construction.
• Maintain community vehicles and tools; ensure proper care.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment.
• Assist with capital improvement and property enhancement projects.
• Monitor vendor work to ensure quality and safety.
• Communicate with Community Manager about conditions and completed work.
• Identify maintenance concerns early and keep workspace safe and organized.
• Pitch in to support residents and team members.
