Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Grounds Worker II to maintain school grounds, equipment, and irrigation systems in Meridian, Idaho. The role includes mowing, snow removal, basic repairs, and assisting with irrigation projects outdoors throughout the year.

Under the supervision of the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, you will operate power tools and vehicles, follow safety protocols, document work orders, and communicate with staff and the public.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency is required or preferred.
• One year grounds keeping experience preferred or equivalent.
• Valid Idaho driver's license is required; CDL endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and fertilizing.
• Assists with scheduled irrigation maintenance and repair.
• Operates grounds keeping equipment and hand tools; basic light welding or similar tasks.
• Follows district safety policies and procedures; prepares basic reports and records.
• Performs snow removal from sidewalks, walkways, and parking areas.
