Job summary

Riverbanks Zoo & Garden is seeking dedicated Groundskeepers to maintain clean and welcoming grounds for guests and staff. The role reports to the Environmental Services Manager and involves routine cleaning, trash removal, and monitoring of guest areas and facilities.

Flexibility is required to cover weekdays, weekends, evenings, holidays, and Signature Events. The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work, can stand for long periods, and will support events with grounds preparation and logistics.

Qualifications

• Three to six months of experience in grounds maintenance, housekeeping, or equivalent.
• Ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Flexible availability including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and special events.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning and upkeep of Riverbanks’ grounds including guest areas, behind-the-scenes, and parking lots.
• Removes trash, debris, and animal waste.
• Monitors pathways, fences, picnic areas, signage, and benches.
• Responds promptly to non-routine cleaning issues as they arrive.
