Job summary

Riverbanks Zoo & Garden is seeking an Environmental Services Manager to lead Groundskeeping and Housekeeping teams, ensuring facilities and grounds meet high cleanliness and appearance standards. Reports to the VP of Guest Services.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree and at least two years of supervisory experience, with flexibility for morning/evening shifts, weekends and after-hours events. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with supervisory experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to manage multiple shifts, plan tasks and coach staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication; attention to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead Groundskeeping and Housekeeping teams including hiring, scheduling, training and coaching.
• Ensure training and adherence to policies, quality standards and safety procedures.
• Plan daily activities, coordinate projects and meet deadlines with available resources.
• Provide leadership, mentor staff, and maintain a positive work environment.
• Communicate with guests, staff, vendors and management; manage vendor schedules.
