Job summary

UES is seeking a Field Technician I to support on-site inspections, materials testing, and environmental sampling for construction and infrastructure projects. You will collect samples, run basic tests, complete reports, and communicate with project teams. The work is outdoors and requires frequent travel to job sites.

Minimum education is High School/GED; a valid driver’s license is required. Industry certifications such as ACI Level 1 are preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training is a plus.
• 0–3 years in field-based outdoor roles preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories.
• Prepare detailed test reports, logs, and documentation.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure calibration.
• Communicate test results and site conditions with project teams.
• Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and PPE usage.
