Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking Field Data Technicians for the Oklahoma area. This outdoor role involves collecting detailed data on utility and telecom facilities, traveling 1–2 weeks at a time, and staying away from home with potential longer assignments.

Training provided to perform duties safely and accurately. Candidates should be comfortable with technology, physically able to lift 15–20 lbs, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Knowledge of telecommunications and/or electrical distribution systems is a plus.
• Ability to travel and work outside in variable terrain and weather conditions.
• Excellent communication skills; both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Work in an outdoor environment to collect field data supporting engineering and design of fiber optic facilities.
• Submit organized, detailed data for each project including maps, notes and images.
• Operate and maintain equipment including tablet, camera, measuring tools, and PPE.
• Travel overnight typically 1–2 weeks away from home; home weekends with possible longer assignments.
