Job summary

Planet Networks is seeking hardworking Outside Construction Laborers to support fiber optic construction projects. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing fiber-to-the-home service drops, both aerial and underground, and setting up customer house boxes.

You will work outdoors, follow safety procedures, learn on the job with hands-on training, and contribute to a growing telecommunications team in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required—training is provided.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labour
• Valid driver’s licence required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of fiber optic infrastructure, including digging, trenching, placing conduit, and setting handholes.
• Operate basic tools and equipment safely while maintaining clean and organised job sites.
• Support construction crews with material handling and site preparation
• Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times
