Job summary

Great Parks of Hamilton County seeks an Events Specialist to bring to life outdoor experiences at the Winton Center in Cincinnati. This full-time role requires meticulous planning, strong coordination, and a track record of managing complex events.

You will lead end-to-end event lifecycles—from ideation to post-event evaluation—overseeing design, logistics, venue coordination, guest experience and sponsorship fulfillment. Evening and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in communications, hospitality, event management, marketing, public relations or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in events, marketing, community relations and/or public relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle — from creative ideation through post-event evaluation — of a portfolio of events designed to increase the visibility of Great Parks in the region.
• Specializes in bringing imaginative concepts to life while managing every detail — design, venue coordination, décor, guest experience and sponsorship fulfillment.
• Executes logistics to ensure events are set up, operated, and torn down efficiently; procures supplies, coordinates vendor arrivals, and troubleshoots as needed.
• Serves as on-site day-of lead for select events and programs, coordinating with internal teams for updates and staffing.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, Public Relations or related field
