Job summary

Great Parks in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Events Specialist to lead outdoor, high-profile community events. The role covers concept through post-event evaluation, coordinating venues, decor, guest experience, and sponsorship fulfillment.

The candidate will manage on-site staffing, vendor contracts, budgets, and collaboration across divisions, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to deliver memorable experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, Public Relations or related field
• minimum of 3 years of experience working in events, marketing, community relations, and/or public relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of events from ideation through post-event evaluation.
• Coordinate theme, decor, venue, guest experience, and sponsorship fulfillment.
• Lead on-site operations, staffing, vendor coordination, and logistics.
• Collaborate across divisions to update calendars and marketing materials.
• Manage budgets, purchases, and licensing in line with policy.
