Job summary

Pali Institute in Running Springs, CA is hiring for a full-time seasonal Instructor role beginning Spring 2027. You will teach outdoor education, science, and leadership to 4th–12th grade students, both in cabins and in the field, including up to 11 students per cabin overnight 2–4 nights a week.

Off-site housing and utilities are provided, with travel reimbursements available for out-of-state candidates. A college degree or program experience is required, and prior camp counseling is a plus.

Qualifications

• College degree required or program experience equivalent.
• Prior camp counselor experience is a plus.
• Have prior experience working with children (preferably grades 4–12).
• Be able to work in a team environment with 100+ staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of children while teaching outdoor education, science, and leadership classes.
• Co-teach and/or lead lessons based on accredited plans.
• Conduct in-cabin overnight sessions with 2–4 nights per week.
• Manage groups during downtime with games and activities.
